Description:
This is a public bid for a cost reimbursement type contract from one or more qualified home repair contractors who are highly capable of all of the work required within the specifications.

The Handy Helper Program is funded through the Twp's Department of Community Development using Federal Housing & Urban Development (HUD), Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. 

The Handy Helper Program provides minor repairs to Cherry Hill Twp homeowners who are income-qualified senior citizens and/or medically certified disabled who fall under the same income limit.  The program provides up to $1,000 worth of home repairs to each eligible homeowner in a calendar year.

Contract term is for a 12 month period commencing at the time of signing of the contract OR until funding from the current CDBG funding has been depleted whichever comes first.

EVERY ITEM IN EACH CATEGORY MUST BE COMPLETED.  IF ALL ENTRIES ARE NOT COMPLETED, THE BID SUBMISSION WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

Qualifications:
In accordance with N.J.S.A. 56:8-136 et seq., all contractors & subcontractors must be registered and/or licensed by the State of NJ. A copy of a signed, current & valid Home Improvement Contractor Registration License MUST be submitted with the bid & any other applicable signed licenses and/or registrations of subcontractors MUST be submitted at time permits are obtained.

Must submit 5 references - see specifications.

Special Requirements:
The awarded vendor (s), as well as any person(s) employed by the awarded vendor (s), agree to submit a criminal background check at a cost not to exceed $100.00 for each person. This cost for the criminal background checks will be the responsibility of the awarded vendor. An award will be made pending the successful completion of the criminal background check. The background check, which includes fingerprinting will be processed through a vendor selected by the Twp Police Dept. When bid is awarded by the Twp governing body, the awarded vendor(s) MUST acquire the background paperwork from the Twp Purchasing Dept & proceed per the instructions.

The awarded contractor(s) must submit proof of liability insurance in the amounts listed in the specifications.

The applicant/proposer shall submit 1 original with original signatures marked "ORIGINAL" & should submit 2 complete & exact copies of the original marked "COPY" of his/her proposal & should submit an electronic copy on a cd or flash drive.
