Planning and Zoning Board Assistant-Posted on 6/30/2008 :This position is the administrative point person for all Planning and Zoning Board applications, which includes explaining the Board processes to residents and developers, process and organize land use development applications, oversee legal and financial records, distribute public notice to property owners, maintain the official record for both the Planning and Zoning Board of Adjustment in accordance with the New Jersey Municipal Land Use Law. EMT/Paramedic - Cherry Hill Fire District # 13The Board of Fire Commissioners of Cherry Hill, NJ is currently accepting applications to establish a hire list for future EMS positions. Full-time Career and Per-Diem positions will be appointed from the hire list. Candidates must meet eligibility requirements as set forth in NJ Statutes NJAC:8:40A: Emergency Medical Services Regulations. Three years field experience as an EMT in a 911 EMS system is required. Paramedic certification and experience is preferred. The candidate must successfully complete the EMS selection process, including written, practical and physical ability testing, medical and psychological examinations, and a thorough background investigation. Details of the selection process and Preliminary Applications may be obtained from the CHFD website, cherryhillfire.org, by selecting the link "EMS Opportunities." Candidates will be scheduled for an examination session by submitting a Preliminary Application, EMS Questionnaire and credentials, as well as meeting the eligibility requirements. Completed Application packets must be submitted in-person to Fire Administration, 301 Burnt Mill Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003 only on the following dates: 1/26/08 0900-1200; 1/29/08 1700-2000; 1/30/08 1700-2000. Part-time Instructors for 2008 Youth, Adult and Senior Programming.The Cherry Hill Recreation Department now hiring part-time instructors for youth and adult workshops. The Recreation Department is seeking teachers for existing programs as well as accepting proposals for new activities. Each season, the Recreation Department runs a variety of workshops in sports, art, music, crafts and enrichment subjects for residents of all ages.  Courses are held at Town Hall (820 Mercer Street), Croft Farm Arts Center (100 Borton’s Mill Road) and in the Cherry Hill Public Schools.  Courses are scheduled seasonally, based on facility and instructor availability. Part-time. Paid. Fall Semester 2008. Seeking college student or recent graduate with relevant work experience or nearing degree completion in: Public Administration, Political Science or closely-related fields. Positive attitude, comfort with public interaction, professional appearance, and strong work ethic required. Primary responsibilities include general clerical (especially phone) duties and front-line community relations for the office of Mayor Bernie Platt and the Township Business Administrator. Township residents (past and present) welcome.

Intern may assist with various projects including constituent and inter-government relations, research and writing, special event assistance, some desktop publishing, database maintenance, and general administrative support.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Complete understanding of basic MS Office programs necessary. Must have the ability to multi-task and work independently as well as with a team.
